Traditional houses of Tujia Nationality in Southeast Chongqing is located in Wuling Mountain.Its unique construction methods and techniques gradually formed in the long-term adaptation of the subtropical mountain climate,especially in response to the summer hot and humid climate.The ventilation technology in Tujia settlements and residential is chosen as the research object,take a in-depth discussion on on the village streets and residential space mode of ventilation.Ecotect, Fluent and other software are used to simulate residential indoor and outdoor wind environment characteristics. On the basis of a large number of comparative experiments and data analysis,extraction and summary is made about the residential passive ventilation technology.In addition, with the analysis of traditional settlements and vernacular ventilation technology, discusses the how to effectively use the experience of passive energy saving in the design and construction of modern new peasant village.The study of this paper can promote the technology research in ecological adaptability of traditional folk houses, so that these traditional ecological wisdom can be inherited and applied in the contemporary.This paper mainly discusses the natural ventilation technology of Tujia traditional folk house in Chongqing, Chongqing, and the research work is focused on four parts.The first part focuses on the introduction of the basic situation of the traditional folk houses in the southeast region of chongqing. The ventilation excellent practice in the settlement and the folk house is described, and the suitable technology for the environment of the traditional settlement and the ventilation of the house is summarized.The second part focuses on the ventilation of Tujia traditional settlement simulation analysis, choose two kinds of settlements to analyze. one is natural form of traditional settlement,the other is the settlement which was built for tourists with the same building structure, materials, shapes except layout.In comparison,the ventilation effect of natural settlement is better than which in the transformed settlement. It is summarized the natural settlement started with houses, conform to the mountain, Its layout is effective strategies to cope with natural ventilation.The third part focuses on analysis of single building typical architectural space thermal environment and ventilation, focuses on stilts and main house(main room) thermal environment and air environment simulation.Summed up the Diaojiao building as "Diaojiao space- veranda space- the attic space" of heat insulation and ventilation system, main house mainly use "Hall- the attic" ventilation system. Experimental intuitively presents air condition in the building.In the wind environment simulation of the main house, two kinds of models are set to make comparison.one is traditional residence model,the other is modern rural residence with the same scale and shape but different in specific details.So as to put forward the optimization strategy to improve the ventilation effect of modern farm house.The fourth part focuses on the practice of the experiences in optimization design in new farmers Village and farmers new homes. The experiences mainly about Tujia traditional settlement of typical layout and space processing method, "Hall- attic" ventilation system in Tujia traditional local style dwelling houses. Compare optimized scheme with the original scheme, judged that optimized scheme is better than original scheme on the ventilation. It is concluded that Tujia ventilation technology on settlements and monomer can be used in the construction and improvement of modern rural settlements and monomer.
