Because of the economic crisis and global warming,the requirements of the ship design and manufacture get higher and higher,which means not only ship will meet the basic application requirements and need good performance,but also its environmental protection should be paid sufficient attention.Aiming at this,this paper uses a multi-purpose ship as a researching object,its resistance performance and energy efficiency design index,and then it uses the theory of multidisciplinary design optimization to optimize the hull form factors.At last,by comparing the original and optimized ship,it proves that the resistance and EEDI of optimized ship will decrease,and achieves the goal of finding the high efficiency and energy-saving ship to make a contribution to the green ship design.In paper,the study of resistance is based on Computational Fluid Dynamics technology.By using Solidworks software for model the multi-purpose ship,using Gambit software for dividing watershed and mesh,using Fluent software for numerical simulation that uses the RNG k-? model,unsteady solver,volume of fluid method to process the free-surface and SIMPLE algorithm,it will obtain the model ship's resistance values.Then through the three-dimensional method it will get the total resistance and analyze the resistance by simulated images.At last,through the comparing the value of Ayre-forecast resistance,the value of total resistance is reasonable.The study of EEDI is based on the recommended formula.It uses Visual Basic software to design calculation program of EEDI,and calculates the multi-purpose ship's EEDI value.By comparing the corresponding baseline,the value of EEDI reach the standard.The optimization of resistance performance and EEDI is mainly based on the theory of multidisciplinary design optimization.Parameterize the resistance and EEDI that simplifies the main power as the effective power,and use Isight software that provides algorithm of Non-Dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm to optimize the hull form factors.In the end,by numerical simulation and three-dimensional method calculation,it proves that the resistance performance and EEDI of the optimized ship is indeed better than the original ship's.The paper's purpose is achieved,and to a certain extent,it provides some reference values for practical engineering application.
