With the construction of CAFTA completed in 2010,southeast Asia has become an area with the fastest growing merchandise exchange volume with China.Thanks to the outstanding geological position and harbor environment,Xiamen has become one of the most important harbors in southeast shoreline and an essential medium of trades between China and ASEAN.Nowadays,with the Road & Belt Strategy's popularization in the world,especially as the 21 st Century Maritime Silk Road Strategy expands its influence on China-ASEAN shipping market,Xiamen,as the strategic fulcrum city of the 21 st Century Maritime Silk Road,is bound to lay more stress on building the framework of shipping with ASEAN,thus,volume of container transportation will surely face a great increase in the incoming future.However,the increase of the volume of container transportation will definitely cause shipping companies to concentrate their transport capacities on those shipping lines in this area.So as shipping courses increase in this area,the network layout of container shipping courses in this area will be in a mess.So this situation urges a reasonable planning of container shipping network,an increased market efficiency and a decreased operation cost of shipping companies.This thesis will focus on optimization of Xiamen-ASEAN container shipping network and try to design a reasonable and efficient Xiamen-ASEAN container shipping network.So that,this network will be capable of bearing the rapid increase of the volume of container transportation caused by the Road & Belt Strategy.This thesis has put forward the basic network theories of container shipping network based on the careful investigation of relative researches home and abroad.By analyzing container shipping network,situation and problems of Xiamen-ASEAN container shipping market,the basic elements of sea shipping cost,shipping course situation comparison before and after the publication of the Road & Belt Strategy and prediction of the amount of loaded container on Xiamen-ASEAN shipping course,this thesis has set up an optimized model of container shipping network with the minimum overall transportation cost,by introducing a mathematical method of mixed-integer programming and utilizing the MATLAB to program for a solution.In the end,taking the shipping course framework construction among five important ports of Xiamen and ASEAN for example to test the feasibility of the model and solution mentioned above.The results show that the model and solution-seeking method employed in this thesis arescientific enough to solve the practical problems,which means,through program computing,they're good enough to generate an optimized and efficient container shipping network between China and ASEAN.
