UAV has the character of small volume,high mobility and good concealing,so it has a significant advantage in video acquisition and imaging.UAV video encoding and decoding system can be widely used in the field of information and ground investigation,which has tremendous market potential.However,problems exist in present UAV video system,such as high latency and low data compression ratio;so it is difficult to meet the requirements of real-time control,real-time detection,affected its popularization and application.Design a new type of UAV video encoding and decoding system with the character of excellent sharpness,low latency,low power consumption,has the high value of engineering application.A hardware system for UAV video decoding based on DM8107 platform is designed in this thesis,which achieve the function of video decoding and transmitting.The system hardware is divided into DM8107 main processing module,video output interface module,data storage interface module,SPI data transmission module,power module,clock and reset module and other debugging interface module.Modules cooperate with each other,and achieve the function of the video output.The test shows that the video decoding system based on DM8107 platform has the character of low latency and low power consumption.At present,the model machine has been put into use.The latency of video encoding and decoding system is less than 140ms.The system is stable and reliable,and meets the design requirements.
