With the development of society, especially on the bus ,the bus driving environment and comfort, reduce the labor intensity is increasing, people pay more attention to the driving environment, comfort and reduce labor intensity of the bus. In recent years,the bus company has also increased a lot of automatic transmission cases of the bus,to deal with this problem. However, an automatic bus will increase the cost of 100 thousand RMB or more, and most of them dependent on foreign imports. So, the maintenance level cannot keep up, the maintenance costs are high,causing the difficulty to large-scale application. Therefore, in order to meet the requirements of the scientific and technological policy of equipment, and actively accelerate the localization of equipment, an electric control flexible clutch system has been applied.In order to solve the problem of fast start up, slow start and slipping during driving of the electric control flexible clutch system, the characteristics and working principle of the product are introduced and analyzed in detail, and the basic requirements for the control of the product are put forward. According to the control requirements of the system,a pulse width modulation (PWM) control method is proposed based on the HCS12X series 16 bit MC9S12XEP100 microcontroller of Freescale semiconductor company. According to the control method, a control system is designed, which is composed of a control module and a driving power module. Based on the micro control chip MC9S12XEP100, according to the collected gear signal, throttle signal, engine speed, and the speed of the bus, and according to the operation conditions of different bus, the system outputs the corresponding PWM signal to control the excitation current of the power driver module. Field current magnetic force on the electromagnetic clutch, electromagnetic clutch control of absorption and separation.In addition, the control system realizes the function of adjusting the starting voltage, the pull in voltage and the pull in time of the electric control flexible clutch system, by using the touch screen through CAN communication. According to the running condition of different buses, adjusting several control parameters can effectively solve the engagement process in the electric control flexible clutch system problem. After the final vehicle test, the control system can realize the reliable and precise control of the electric control flexible clutch system.
