China has a long history of civilization,as well as a large number of historic district.As an important part of the historic city,the historic district have to function well as a place for tourism and commerce.In addition,it is also the major place of the people's daily life with certain traffic volume.However,with the rapid development of economy and a sharp increasing in the present quantity of vehicles,the internal transportation infrastructure can not meet the requirement and traffic problems have been becoming increasingly serious in historic district,which lead to that the traveling structure is not reasonable.In reaction to this phenomenon,the Xi'an historic district has been taken as an example and the traffic characteristics in it has been combined,the choice of traffic mode has been studied in the paper,which lays the foundation for the later traffic planning and is beneficial to the sustainable development of historic district.Firstly,the traffic characteristics of the historical district in the Midwestern regions is introduced.According to the existing traffic problems and the traffic development mode in the historical district,the importance of the structure of the travel in the histori cal district on its future development has been put forward in this paper.Secondly,the author made the investigation on Xi'an,Kaifeng other historical districts,to conclude all the main factors about affecting the travel mode.Based on the analysis of various factors,the structural equation modeling based on mode of customer satisfaction is established from the angle of psychological analysis.The structural equation modeling verifies the relationship between the main factors and determines the weight of main factors,which to lay the foundation for the establishment of the traffic selection modeling.Thirdly,based on the structural equation modeling,the MNL modeling is introduce d.The personal traveling behavior is taken as the research object and the integratedmodeling of MNL based on structural equation is established,to obtain utility function of each traffic mode.Then the integrated modeling is compared with the traditional modeling,to verify that the integrated model is more practical and more suitable.Finally,from the perspective of the land using nature of historical districts,the paper analyzes the flexibility of various control factors for the choice of traffic mode and establishes the optimization modeling of the choice of traffic mode based on SEM-MNL,to obtain the sharing rate of various modes of transportation.At the last,according to the model results,the traffic structure optimization strategy is put forward,which lays the foundation for the later traffic planning.
