Strategy Research On Urban Design Control In The Shuangxi Area Of Chongqing Based On Traffic Impact Analysis Method

With the rapid development of the economy,people’s demand for urban quality of life is increasing day by day.The demand to create the high-quality urban space environment as the goal of urban design is required higher than before.Traditional urban design elements for the design of control aspect mainly rely on the designer,who have many years working experience as well as the relevant specification to control.There are few scientific,quantifiable analysis methods to be used as urbandesign control basis.This can easily lead to the urban design project which is already carried out of some unexpected problems.Chongqing in China as the world important strategic fulcrum,it is the silk road economic belt of the western development of the city today.It means that the development and construction in Chongqing puts forward higher requirements in the level of urban design control.Obviously,the traditional level of urban design control cannot meet the demand of the construction of high quality urban space.Although many urban construction projects make detailed urban design in the early days,the final result is not satisfactory.The problems such as excessive development intensity led to traffic congestion,the destruction of urban environment and so on.In view of the problem which is lack of the method in present urban design control,the article by means of quantitative Analysis method in the field of Traffic-TIA(Traffic Impact Analysis),namely the Traffic Impact assessment method,trying to find the method which is able to provide a scientific basis for the control of the traffic elements in urban design.At first,this paper carried out the research into the applicability of the TIA in urban design control.As the theoretical basis for symbiotic and coordinating relationship between land use and transportation,the second chapter respectively expounds the process of TIA and urban design work,finding in the three aspects which include work target,scope of work,and the participants have the intersection.Second,through the screening in the elements of the urban traffic planning,urban design control and TIA,the third chapter determines the six urban design controling elements which are related to TIA,such as the organization of the project internal traffic,the developing capacity of the project,the entrance location and so on.Finally,the TIA is used in the urban design of Suangxi Area in Chongqing.According to the analytic result of the TIA in Shuangxi Area,the fifth chaper putting forward three aspects control strategies in the traffic organization,plot entrance organization and developing capacity to make a further validation in the feasibility of TIA application.In view of the high quality of Chongqing construction demand in city space environment and the increasingly serious traffic congestion problem,as an important mean of urban design which guides the construction of Chongqing development,urban-design needs to use the more scientific quantitative analysis method to make the controling basis.This can provide the guidance for the urban construction in the future and also provide the new mentality for the other elements of urban design control methods.
