Applied Research Of BIM Technology On The Estimation And Controlling Of A Subway Engineering Cost

The subway engineering is an important urban rail transit and livelihood project.The construction costs as an important part of subway engineering play an important role in smoothly running and completing the project.The construction costs of subway engineering are in the face of many practical problems and challenges now.One is that the management of construction costs has limitations itself.The other is that the subway has characteristics of a long construction period,the large work quantity,the big constructing difficulties,more changes and uncertainty factors.Based on thorough investigations and research results at home and abroad,the thinking and feasibility using BIM technology to solve above problems are discussed and confirmed.Firstly,the research studies the characteristics and correlation of construction costs,BIM technology and the earned value method respectively.The effectiveness of BIM technology and the earned value method in the project schedule cost management is confirmed.The general thinking of controlling construction costs based on BIM technology is expounded.It is pointed out that,BIM technology can not only assist the application and feasibility of the earned value method in construction costs,but also promote the arrangement ability of the project schedule for managers.BIM technology has good applicability in terms of valuation and control.Then according to the characteristics of the subway engineering and the fundamental of construction costs,the main risks in construction costs of subway engineering are identified and the main challenges in valuation and control are analyzed,which embody in the uncertainty of target value,cost out of control in construction process,the limitations of management mode and managers.The measures are also put forward.Finally,the management model of construction costs is created by combining with a typical example of subway engineering.The actual cost performance is analyzed by the earned value method.BIM technology has been proven effective,significant and viable in the management of the subway engineering costs by analyzing the reason for cost variance.
