With the continuous improvement of automotive electronic control technology,The automobile steering system has been changed from the initial mechanical steering and hydraulic steering to the pure electric power steering system(EPS).EPS needs to undergo rigorous testing in the process of development.The research of the hardware-in-the-loop test platform of EPS is of great significance to the reduction of the development cycle of EPS and the reduction of the cost.This paper designs the visual simulation application program of EPS test platform based on MultiGen Creator and MultiGen Vega.This paper establishes the dynamic and motion model of the vehicle according to the requirements of the test platform.The vehicle model with five degrees of freedom for steering wheel angle,front wheel angle,sideslip angle,yaw angle and roll angle is determined.According to the established mathematical model,the motion equation of the three-dimensional vehicle is established.Then this paper discusses the application of LOD technology,DOF technology and external reference technology in MultiGen Creator.The three-dimensional model of the vehicle is established and the DOF nodes of the automobile wheels are set up.The 3D model of EPS testing site is designed according to the standard of stability test GB/T 6323-2014,includeing slalom test,Lemniscate test and the other testing sites in which the LOD technology and other methods are using.This paper takes Visual C++ as the development platform,designs the main framework of Vega application based on MFC.It analyses and contrasts development of different Vega application under MFC framework and selects the independent working thread to draw Vega.The key issues are discussed such as the collision detection,free driving of car and wheels and application of motion equation in Vega.This paper analyzes the structure of the Vega application,adding the code of custom motion model and menu bar under the degisning application framework.Then,The paper discusses the generation and addition of ADF file.In addition,the subjective evaluation standard of EPS is analyzed.The virtual testing site is improved According to the corresponding subjective evaluation test,and adding the double lane change test site.Finally,the development and design of the visual simulation application program of EPS hardware-in-the-loop simulated platform is completed.
