Stability control device is one of the effective devices to prevent large area blackout,which has been widely used in power system.Regional stability control device through the data exchange between the substation,and according to the power grip operation mode,fault conditions and corresponding control measures are taken at each site,effectively improve the load capacity of power network.The stability control device in Dongguan power grid safe and stable operation,security system to improve transport capacity,especially played an important role in the prevention of power blackouts accident,and achieved good economic and social benefits.Safe system in Dongguan Power Supply Bureau currently runs mainly in 500 kV Shuixiang substation,500 kV Guancheng substation and 500 kV Hengli substation.Among the more prominent role of Shuixiang stability device system involving three 500 kV substations,Guancheng、 Pengcheng、Shuixiang substation and other 10 220 kV substations.Based on the research of operation mode and historical load data,the paper analyzes and discusses the principle of control strategy.Including the analysis of the stability of the different sections of the operation mode,the conclusion is drawn.This paper also discusses the field implementation of the 500 kV Shuixiang stability device.Detailed analysis of the 500 kV Shuixiang substation in the standard design of a firm control device,part of eric circuit connection and risk control measures,and stability device testing methods.
