| The thesis stems from Mao Ming Power Company that power transformation engineering project. The project’s main aim is to solve increasingly difficult situation that the power grid system is controlled by labor. The thesis focuses on application of GPRS technology into the grid management, management information between control center and substations in the grid system between control and users. The system provide a small investment, easy to install, reliable communication, accurate, high‐performance remote meter reading and control programs for the power company, and effective, timely and accurate collection, statistics and analysis of substation data.Based on the GPRS wireless communication network architecture, the system control center and substation through the INTERNET and the GPRS network for communication. The system design includes a control center, the transmission system, the Oracle database system, the data retrieval function and transmission of data transmission, the data storage function, the data processing and data publishing.First and foremost, the thesis makes a presentation on the current background and difficulty of power remote meter reading technology, purpose, meaning and domestic and international status quo. Second, introduction to power remote reading system architecture and software design process, including power communication protocol, TCP/IP protocol processing module, the GPRS communications and control module and serial communication processing module described in detail. Last, focuses on the state of power remote meter reading and communication test.The thesis based on the software engineering development process, object‐oriented software design ideas, power remote meter reading system design and development process, using VC6.0programming language. Finally, it make a summary of the research and development of power remote meter reading and look forward to the GPRS in other areas of new technology and wireless communication on people’s lives. |
