Now the cities in our country is in a period of opportunities and challenges.Energy shortage and Environmental pollution put forward a new standard and requirement to the development of our cities.The theory of Livable city has emerged quietly and grows into the mainstream of public value orientation gradually.With the characteristic of Environment protecting,healthy and green,Bicycle-traffic is an irresistible trend of future to the development of urban transportation.As an important part of urban transportation system,Bicycle-path System has important influence on alleviating traffic congestion and improving travel experience.Bicycle-path System is an indispensable part of the Livable city as well.Theoretical interpretation,developing history,case study and development strategy is the contents of Bicycle-path System in this paper.Firstly,on the basis of analysis in the theory of Livable city,Transit Oriented Development and Non-motorized traffic,this paper creatively puts forward double meaning in the theoretical level and the practical level.Secondly,on the basis of reviewing the development of Bicycle-path System,this paper analyzes the concept and the relation of elements about Bicycle-path System.Thirdly,this paper chooses Hangzhou,Copenhagen and Tokyo as development cases to analyze carefully and lays emphasis on the Public Bicycle System,the Bicycle-path and the Bicycle parking.On the basis of development cases and theoretical summary,this paper puts forward important planning proposal to the Bicycle-path net planning,Bicycle-path planning and Intersection design of the Bicycle-path System.In conclusion,as an indispensable part of the Livable city,the Bicycle-path System plays an important role in alleviating traffic congestion,improving travel experience and energy saving.
