Fused Deposition Modeling(FDM)is a technology that places the fused material with a certain path.With the development of economy,FDM plays a more important role in products design and mold manufacture with the advantages of high flexibility and rapidity.However,there are many problems.Among them,forming precision concerns loom large.Based on analysis of errors,a research on scanning path planning and optimization of processing parameters has been done.The errors of FDM are derived from every aspects of FDM process,which include the errors of pre-treatment and machining.Based on the analysis on extruder,a model of expansion of filament has been established,and the expansion coefficient has been proved by tests.Based on the research of the errors of FDM,a new model of fused filament was raised to illustrate the relationship between width,height and the diameter of nozzle.Also,the deficiency of warping has been analyzed qualitatively and solation was raised to improve it.With a machine of FDM designed by research group,a control system has been designed,including hardware and software,to make FDM machining.Based on the study of some basic scanning path and processing experiments,a composite algorithm was designed,which combined contour offsetting track and parallel track to reduce the warping in consideration of the contour accuracy and processing efficiency.Also,the optimization on scanning path reduced the “idle running” to improve the condition of “wire drawing”.Finally,through orthogonal experiment,the effects of processing parameters for FDM molding precision have been studied.According to the optimization of process parameters by machining experiments,the configuration problem of parameters under various conditions has been analyzed.
