Small and medium-sized cities in China are in a period of rapid development with the rapid development of China's social economy,also various infrastructures being improved on a daily basis.Most of the small and medium-sized cities will face a variety of status quo in the future,such as large-scale cities face rapid growth in the scale of motor vehicles,traffic congestion,and ect.So,it is particularly important to take public transportation first,improve the functions of the public transport system,and rationally deploy the public transportation network.Therefore,this paper have studied the medium and small-sized urban public transit network as the research object.First of all,the population scale of China's small and medium-sized cities is divided and defined.Then determine the goals and main body of the article research.Secondly,based on the traffic survey data from the three traffic planning projects,data analysis was conducted on the characteristics of residents' travel in the small and medium-sized cities and the development status of the urban roads.At the same time,the characteristics of the small cities were compared with other big cities.The paper was carried out from four aspects: citizens' travel intensity,travel purpose,travel mode and peak travel time.At the same time,according to the survey data of bus satisfaction questionnaires,the status of public transport services and residents' travel needs are summarized,the key problems and weaknesses in the status quo are identified,the key demand factors for small and medium-sized city residents' travel are emphatically identified,and the travel characteristics of small and medium-sized cities and the major cities are summarized.Differences and related laws.Provide theoretical basis for the following research goals and directions.Then analyze the influencing factors and related indicators of the scale of the public transit network in small and medium-sized cities,select three indicators of traffic demand,urban population,and urban area scale,and establish a multiple regression model for reasonable scale calculation of public transit network in small and medium-sized cities.At the same time,according to the above analysis of travel characteristics and travel needs of small and medium-sized cities,and based on the specific needs of small and medium-sized cities to explore the optimal layout of the public transit network of small and medium-sized cities,establish an optimization model.Based on the relevant analysis and research,this paper establishes a bus route assembly model that optimizes the number of direct passengers in the overall line network based on the calculation of a single bus line unit mileage benefit to maximize the generation of alternative line sets.The constraints are decomposed into the steps of the entire optimization,simplifying the difficulty and process of the model,and achieving the goal of optimizing the layout of the network.In the end,this paper makes use of the relevant analysis and conclusions of the previous study,taking Qionglai City as a case for the optimization analysis of the bus line network.To verify the practicability of the research conclusions under the environment of small and medium-sized cities.
