Study On Compound Chinese Herbal Medicine For Treating Mastitis Of Dairy Cows

Dairy cow mastitis is one of the most common diseases of dairy farms,Therefore,how to prevent and cure mastitis effectively has been paid more and more attention by dairy farmers.All along,to prevent and treatment of dairy cow mastitis,antibiotics is the first choice of farmers.However,by using antibiotics,the drug resistance,drug residues and other issues gradually exposed.The prevention and cure of mastitis in dairy cows by using traditional Chinese medicine has entered into people's sight with its characteristics of no effluence,no drug resistance,natural and non-toxicity.In this study,several traditional Chinese medicines were selected,and the optimal extraction method was established by in vitro antibacterial test,safety evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine breast perfusion agent,and the clinical trial was carried out on the breast perfusion agent of compound Chinese herbal medicine.The results are as follows:1.Experimental design,the ideal extraction methods and conditions were determined by in vitro antibacterial test:Dandelion,licorice and Angelica by the method of boiling water,finally combined with the concentration of the two-liquid medicine.Thyme herb reflux extraction of thyme essential oil,the extract of Chinese herbal medicine mixed evenly.The results of in vitro bacteriostatic and MIC showed that the traditional Chinese medicine breast perfusion agent had a decent inhibitory effect on four kinds of common pathogenic bacteria.It provided a theoretical and experimental basis for clinical treatment of mastitis in dairy cows.2.In order to estimate the applied reliability and determine the toxicity of the traditional Chinese medicine compound,the experiment test for mucosal irritative and acute toxicity test were performed.The results of mucosa stimulating test were negative.The result showed that the LD50 of traditional Chinese herbal compound medicine nasal spray was 31063mg per kg weight.According to the toxicological evaluation standard,the medicine belongs to the non-toxic matter,hence,the results confirmed that the self-made traditional Chinese herbal compound nasal spray was safe and non-toxic,and it can use security in clinical practice.3.In this study,for clinical trial the cows were divided into three groups which are as,control group,Chinese medicine perfusion group and antibiotic group,respectively.During the whole trail,the following parameters were observed,the changing of dairy cows about clinical symptoms,body temperature,somatic cell count and serum biochemical parameters.After that the following result are obtained from the observation:Traditional Chinese medicine breast perfusion agent has certain curative effect on mastitis,use of antibiotics that can overcome the disadvantages such as drug resistance and drug residues.
