Objective: Through analysising the correlation between ureaplasma urealyticum and chlamydia trachomatis infection in reproductive tract and the morbidity of oligopermia or asthenospermia, chronic salpingitis and adverse pregnancy(spontaneous abortion and embryo damage),in order to providing the theoretical basis that ureaplasma urealyticum and chlamydia trachomatis infection in reproductive tract may lead to those diseases, which will guide clinical diagnosis and treatment of infertility better. Methods: According to the criteria of inclusion,300 cases were collected randomly from the male and female patients with oligopermia or asthenosper-mia,chronic salpingitis and adverse pregnancy, every group has 50 cases, and tested the infection of ureaplasma urealyticum and chlamydia trachomatis.Observing the correlation between ureaplasma urealyticum and chlamydia trachomatis infection rate in genital tract and the morbidity of oligopermia or asthenospermia, chronic salpingitis and adverse pregnancy, which accroding to the difference of infection in every experimental and control group. Results: 1.In the experimental group of oligopermia or asthenospermia, the infection rate of ureaplasma urealyticum was 72%(36/50),the infection rate ofchlamydia trachomatis was 6%(3/50)and the total infection rate of ureaplasma urealyticum and chlamydia trachomatis was 78%(39/50);in the control group, the infection rate of ureaplasma urealyticum was 38%(19/50),the infection rate of chlamydia trachomatis was 0 and the total infection rate of ureaplasma urealyticum and chlamydia trachomatis was 38%(19/50),the difference among the infection of ureaplasma urealyticum was statistically significant(P=0.001<0.05),the same result comed from the difference of total infection rate(P=0.000<0.05),while the difference among the infection of chlamydia trachomatis was not significant(P=0.242>0.05).2.In the experimental group of chronic salpingitis, the infection rate of ureaplasma urealyticum was 70%(35/50),the infection rate of chlamydia trachomatis was 2%(1/50)and the total infection rate of ureaplasma urealyticum and chlamydia trachomatis was 72%(36/50);in the control group, the infection rate of ureaplasma urealyticum was 48%(24/50),,the infection rate of chlamydia trachomatis was 0 and the total infection rate of ureaplasma urealyticum and chlamydia trachomatis was 48%(24/50),the difference among the infection of ureaplasma urealyticum was statistically significant(P=0.025<0.05),the same result comed from the difference of total infection rate(P=0.014 < 0.05),while the difference among the infection of chlamydia trachomatis was not significant(P=1.00>0.05).3.In the experimental group of adverse pregnancy, the infection rate of ureaplasma urealyticum was64%(32/50),the infection rate of chlamydia trachomatis was 12%(6/50)and the total infection rate of ureaplasma urealyticum and chlamydia trachomatis was 76%(38/50);in the control group, the infection rate of ureaplasma urealyticum was 44%(22/50),the infection rate of chlamydia trachomatis was 2%(1/50)and the total infection rate of ureaplasma urealyticum and chlamydia trachomatis was 46%(23/50),the difference among the infection rate of ureaplasma urealyticum was statistically significant(P=0.045 < 0.05),and the same result comed from the difference of total infection rate(P=0.002 <0.05),while the difference among theinfection of chlamydia trachomatis was not significant(P=0.112>0.05).4.In the total experimental groups of the three, the infection rate of chlamydia trachomatis was6.67%(10/150),the total control groups' was 0.67%(1/150),the difference among the infection rate of ureaplasma urealyticum was statistically significant(P=0.006 <0.01).Conclusion: 1.The infection of ureaplasma urealyticum in seminal plasma may affect the formation and activity of spermatozoa, which lead to oligopermia or asthenospermia and the occurrence of male infertility.2.The infection of ureaplasma urealyticum in female cervical mucus has a close relation with the morbidity of chronic salpingitis and the morbidity of adverse pregnancy, which draw a conclusion tha the infection is one of the important factors of those two diseases.3.The secondary infertility for women have a high risk of reproductive tract infections, who are more likely to suffer from chronic tubal inflammation.4.The infection of ureaplasma urealyticum in reproductive tract has a close relation with infertility as welll as chlamydia trachomatis.5.The study of infection of ureaplasma urealyticum and chlamydia trachomatis in reproductive tract still need to solve these problems:(1)Developing a method, which has high sensitivity and simple procedure.(2)The mechanisms of oligopermia or asthenospermia, chronic salpingitis and adverse pregnancy which due to infection of ureaplasma urealyticum and chlamydia trachomatis in reproductive tract are still unclear, which is worth to research deeply.
