China has developed continuously since its implement of the opening up and reforming policy. And we have been trying our best to help African people and promote communication between two sides. The'Training Course on Embroidery Techniques for African Countries 2014'is one of the series of foreign aid.As a report on consecutive interpreting (CI), this report describes a CI task made by the interpreter for the Training Course on Embroidery Techniques for African Countries 2014, which was sponsored by the Department of Commerce of P.R.C. The interpreter analyzes the interpreting performance in the class given by Chinese embroidery experts and the speech delivered by leaders and African learners by Skopos Theory to discuss the problems existing in consecutive interpreting and the corresponding strategies and solutions.First, the details of preparation work are introduced, including collection of references, sort of special items and communication with African learners. And then, the interpreter considers some problems she faced in interpreting and lists some typical examples including misinterpreting, interpreting omissions, improper dictations caused by unfamiliarity to the learners'reception capability and cultural differences, and improper interpreting habits. This report summarizes coping strategy and techniques for those problems occurred in interpreting process through a detailed analysis and comparison of the original interpreting and the improved ones.
