In the 21 st century, globalization has become an undebatable fact. Accompanied by the overwhelming trend of globalization, the mass media is also on its way of internationalization, which has further enhanced the communication between countries in terms of politics, economy, science, technology, education, culture and entertainment. Besides conference interpreting, business interpreting and liaison interpreting, media interpreting has gradually drawn increasing public attention. The author chose the launch event of smartphone Smartisan T1 held by the founder and CEO of Smartisan Digital Co., Ltd at Beijing National Conference Center on May 20, 2014 as the material for this interpreting practice report. The launch event was on live on a video website at the same time when being held, exposing itself to the public through media thoroughly.This report is written based on the analysis of the transcripts of source text and interpreting text. First, this report introduces background information and features of the interpreting task; then it describes the interpreting process including pre-interpreting preparation, interpreting process and post-interpreting quality control; next, after analyzing the problems and difficulties in the interpreting process, in the light of the Interpretive Theory and the Effort Models, summarizes the interpreting strategies and methods during interpreting process in specific cases, namely, omission, deverbalization, explication and implication, and further evaluate the interpreting quality; at last, this report gives feasible suggestions under similar situations based on the summarization of the analysis and evaluation.
