Comprehensive teaching has always occupied a very important position in the whole teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Comprehensive teaching is not only related to itself, but also to other courses such as listening class, oral class, reading and writing courses. So people are always researching the comprehensive course.The design of comprehensive teaching is a guidence to Chinese teacher. The design of comprehensive teaching is an important basis for the teacher in the class. This article sets the pillow instead of the needle as an example and makes a teaching design.The article has the following parts: The first part elaborates the background, purpose, significance; introduces the current research of the article, and puts forwards the research method of the article. The second part investigates the present teaching situation of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, then analyses it. The third part outlines the Chinese comprehensive course, introduces the concept of teaching design, and positions the teaching design. The fourth part through analyzing the article of the pillow instead of a needle, makes a teaching design, then gets the drawback of the design. The fifth part points out the innovations and shortcomings of the article, and then draws a conclusion.
