Empirical study, introspection and comparative study are practiced to analyze cases of Oscar winning films. This study analyzes the human nature embodied by the typical Oscar characters, and reviews the success and failures of the Oscar method on embodying the humanistic connotations. The differences between Oscar cases and Europium films are also discussed. These conclusions will shed light on domestic film industry, providing positive examples and novel ideas.Artistic image is the carrier and foundation of humanity expression, reflecting the concept of film producers. Artistic images are commonly classified as human images and subhuman images. When taking the weights and strengths of characters into consideration, the artistic images can be classified as major image, minors image and assistant image. Still, there is an exception of group image. According to the low-carbon aesthetics established by Lixin Ma, low-carbon artistic image accomplishes objective truth by intuitive truth, subjective truth and "real" surreal fidelity. A great amount of Oscar artistic images meets the concept of low-carbon aesthetics, makes them perfect cases for this study.In this article, human nature is discovered under the typical Oscar characters, such as positive images, negative images and neutral images. By applying this conclusion to domestic film production, demonstrating different artistic images by various mixture of human nature, Chinese film will have a chance to get rid of the phenomenal and fashion following spell, making its own way to the wide world.
