Chinese international education experienced rapid development in recent years, along with fast expansion of teaching theory and teaching method as well as quick reforms. Constructivism learning theory, developed from children cognitive development theory, is a relatively new learning theory, highlighting the function of context and expecting students to learn in context actively. Learners should learn actively in situation as real as possible and construct meaning through cooperation, dialogue, text and explorative experiment and so on.This paper, thanks to the mature of constructivism learning theory, tried to combine movie with novel, match movie with its original novel and apply this in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language based on the former separated integration of movie or novel into the research and approaches of Chinese class. Exploit the advantages of the application of movie and novel in Chinese teaching and make up the disadvantages of separated application of the two, such as the one-sided skill training and low class learning efficiency. Activate the class with “old three centers”, thin the masterwork, refine the movie story and make Chinese learning comprehensive. Add interest to class on the basis of standards in situation similar to real life, cultivate their skills in listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating and make students understand and master Chinese culture.The author designed a new program trough the match of Chinese movie with its original novel, in order to replenish textbook, motivate student interest, train Chinese skill, improve their abilities in listening, speaking, reading and writing, and promote culture spread. This is also a requirement of the scientific development, theory progress and education object. The selection of work was based on the coexistence of practicability and interestingness, representativeness and modernity, diversity and systematicness, and national character and internationalism, as well as the teaching principles of constructivism learning theory. The advantages and disadvantages of the practice of program design were identified for the further research in this field. |
