E-C Translation Report Of Yanbu-Madinah Water Transmission System Phase 3 Cement Mortar Lining Work Subcontract (Excerpt)

With the deepening of China's reform and opening up,international exchanges have become more and more frequent and extensive, so have international business exchanges and cooperation. Translation of business contract has played an indispensable role in international business exchange and cooperation, therefore the study of translation of business contract is imperative.This report is conducted based on translation practice of Yanbu-Madinah Water Transmission System Phase 3 Cement Mortar Lining Work Subcontract. The first chapter presents sketch of features of this translation project, namely the characteristics of this English contract text. The second part focuses on the description of translation process, including text topology, the theory guiding the translation process, the employment of translation auxiliary instrument, and proofreading after translation. The third part lays emphasis on specific case study, analyzing the specific problems encountered in translating process. The forth part focuses on the conclusion of this translation practice. This report, through specific case study, summarizes the general guiding principle that the translation of business contract follows, aiming at improving the author's E-C translation ability of business contract, and hopefully at offering reference to business contract translators.
