The Application Of Task-based Teaching Approach In The Elementary Chinese Oral Lesson In Kenya

Task-based Language Teaching,as a teaching method in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,has aroused wide acceptance.Since the 1980 s and1990s,Task-based Language Teaching has developed rapidly.From the beginning it was applied in the field of foreign language teaching,and gradually it was penetrated into teaching Chinese as a foreign language.This kind of teaching method has made indelible contributions.In recent years,as an important node at The Belt and Road in Africa,Kenya has become more and more closely related to China in the economic,cultural and other fields.With the deepening of relevant exchanges,more and more Kenyans choose Chinese as a tool of communication with the world.In the practice of elementary oral Chinese teaching as a foreign language in Kenya,the author finds some problems in oral language teaching methods,strategies,contents and so on.This paper aims to discussing the situation of elementary level oral language teaching in Kenya.The main research methods of this paper are literature reading,investigation and research,etc.This paper investigates the actual situation of the elementary oral Chinese lessons for foreigners in Kenya.Based on Task-based Language Teaching method and specific textbook content,the author has made the teaching design about the teaching of oral Chinese as a foreign language in elementary level class.The paper lies in the fact that Kenyan students are studied in the same country and all of them come from Kenya.Specific and feasible solutions are put forward to provide some useful experience for Kenya's teaching of Chinese as a foreign language in oral language.
