The thesis, in the example of the translator's translation work in the third chapter of the book Film and the City, talks about how to do translation work of certain English movie reviews. Chapter Three is difficult in vocabulary, complicated in structure and formal in style and strong in profession. The translator listed several examples during the translation process to illustrate how to solve these problems under the guidance of Nida and Newmark's translation theories and summarized the translation strategies to solve the translation of certain words and sentence structure such as tree structure and passive voice.The report is divided into four chapters. Chapter one is the brief introduction of the translation project report, including background of the Project, and significance of the project. Chapter two is the analysis of the source text, including analysis of the contents, analysis of the features and the summary. Chapter three introduces the preparation work before translation and the analysis centers on the difficulties in translation and solutions. The translator listed several examples during the translation process to illustrate how to solve these problems under the guidance of Nida and Newmark's translation theories and summarized the translation strategies. Chapter four is the conclusion part, including lessons gained and problems to be solved.
