A Report On The English-Chinese Translation Of The Culture-loaded Words In Financial Articles In The Economist From The Perspectives Of Domestication And Foreignization

The report studies the translation of the culture-loaded words in financial articles in The Economist based on domestication and foreignization.To be exact,it studies which translation methods should be adopted in translating different culture-loaded words in aspects of the meaning and form of source text,the purpose of translation and the acceptability of target language's readers.On the basis of the translation practice,the report analyzes the culture-loaded words occurred in the chosen text from the perspectives of domestication and foreignization and summarizes the characteristics and translation of the culture-loaded words in financial articles in The Economist.The report covers specific case analysis,translation methods concluded herein are practical to some extent.The report aims at giving other translators certain inspiration by means of expounding the problems the author encountered in the translation practice and their solutions and sharing ideas on the translation of culture-loaded words.
