This essay is an interpreting report based on a designed mock conference, BRICS Meeting, held by the College of Foreign Language of Liaoning University in collaboration with the College of International Relations. BRIC is an acronym of four countries, Brazil, Russia, India, China, which are all deemed to be at a similar stage of newly advanced economic development. In 2010 BRIC became a formal institution and change its name to "BRICS" after the induction of South Africa. Since 2009, the BRICS nations have met annually at formal summits, and this year, the Eighth BRICS Meeting will be held in Goa, India, which is adopted as the source speech of our simulated meeting. In the process of the meeting, we will do simultaneous interpreting mainly,together with a little consecutive interpreting. Our topics are related to the international situation, financial condition, economic development and cooperation among BRICS countries, etc.This interpreting report is separated into three parts.The first part gives a brief introduction to the background, the significance of this project, and some reflections.Part two, divided into three Chapters, is the body.Chapter I is task description, including its background and significance of the task,the theoretical foundation in translating process, and the requirement to the interpreter.In Chapter II, the author describes the whole interpreting process, including the preparation before the task, the interpreting process, and reflections after interpreting.Chapter III is case analysis. As the main body of the whole report, this Chapter provides case studies corresponding with certain interpreting methods under the instruction of three dimensions (linguistic, cultural, communicative) transformation that is mentioned in Eco-translatology.In the last part, the author makes a conclusion on the enlightenment and lesson learned through this interpreting practice.
