Based on the interpreting service for the meeting of hosts before 2017 China-Cambodia Production Capacity and Investment Cooperation Forum,the author wrote this report,mainly containing:pre-interpreting preparation,assignment description,case study,quality evaluation and conclusion.Chapter One is an introduction to the background of this interpreting assignment,situation of interpreter and assignment and the purpose of this report.Chapter Two has two parts:pre-interpreting analysis and pre-interpreting preparation.Pre-interpreting analysis covers communication about interpreting assignment,time distribution on interpreting preparation and type of interpreting and role definition.And pre-interpreting preparation contains language proficiency,subject knowledge,conference document,interpreting skills,physical and psychological condition.Chapter Three is case study with the focus on the three major issues:choice of language style,the interpreting of titles and organization names and interpreting without note taking,from the angle of Theory of Adaption and Foreignization and Domestication.Chapter Four is quality evaluation from the interpreter himself,entrusting party and speakers.Chapter Five is a conclusion part,mainly concluding what the interpreter learned in this interpretation activity and after the analysis as to this interpretation.This report aims to provide suggestions for interpreters who may encounter the same situation and also hopes that it will provide helps for the colleagues of meeting interpreting.
