The economy of tourism market is so hot that many tourism cities are stimulated to create distinctive brand images to appeal to the consumers. It is proved by the successful experience of developed city tourism brands that the creation should through taping their own unique resource deeply and catering to the market demand to create the image in accordance with distinctive characteristics of tourism places, taking their unique mental intention as the core and featured landscape such as nature and human as the main part.The research emphases of this report is visual image design and development on tourism brand of Ordos. We have known the basic ways of creating visual image of city's tourism brand through previous analysis on tourism brand, city's tourism brand, visual image of city's tourism brand and other related concept and content on the basis of researching on the material getting from fieldwork on the tourist area and policy document on tourism development of this city, specific to the visual image development and structure building on tourism brand of Ordos. Aimed at the problems on tourism visual image existed now, we have to find the solution on tourism image of Ordos as a whole, analyze and research tourism resource and market state, develop and design tourism visual image centered on the local cultural characteristics of Ordos and application profile on visual image among every things, and integrate various media forms through multi-spread, to improve public recognition and knowledge about tourism brand of Ordos.The first part of this report mainly explains concept related with visual image of city's tourism brand and research ways to create visual image of tourist area. The second part mainly analyzes basic situation on tourism resource of Ordos, distilling featured tourism products and their mental intention. The third part mainly discusses the tourism state of Ordos and definite future development trend, as accordance for orientating tourism image exactly. The forth part is design and practice, to select core element and design tourism visual image of Ordos on the basis of clear orientation. The fifth part mainly discusses the strategy and ways of public spread on visual image of Ordos. The achievement of this research and personal harvest and feelings are concluded at the ending.
