A Report On The Translation Of Health Care And Traditional Medicine In China 1800–1982

With the rapid development of TCM globalization,a considerable number of TCM classics and modern studies have been translated into various foreign languages.But few books written by western scholars about TCM studies have been translated into Chinese.It is,therefore,necessary to introduce a number of such special studies to China.Based on the translation of the book Health Care and Traditional Medicine in China 1800-1982,this thesis,an analysis report about the English-Chinese translation project on TCM,aims to summarize translation methods of fundamental TCM terms on theoretical basis,disease names and traditional therapies,achieving a more detailed view of English-Chinese TCM translation process.In addition,the author hopes to introduce some parts of Western materials on TCM studies to the TCM field in China by virtue of translation of the aforesaid book and provide a necessary document for the State in establishing the International TCM Philology Subject.
