Analysis Of Press Conference C-E Interpreting Strategies In The Perspective Of The Interpretive Theory

With the advanced globalization and the rapid growth of China's economy,China has been playing an increasingly significant role in addressing international and regional issues.The press conference held by China's government serves both as the effective platform introducing China to the world and the important window through which the world gets to know China.In particular,the press conference held during China's NPC and CPPCC session is the most important one for its profound impacts on China as well as the rest of the world.Therefore,interpretation in the press conference of NPC and CPPCC session,for its high standard,becomes more difficult and requires effective interpreting strategies.Based on the deverbalization of the Interpretive Theory,this essay takes press conferences of Premier Li Keqiang from the year 2014 to 2016 as its research materials.With the comparison between the author's interpretation and professional interpretation from the interpreter Zhang Lu,the author comes up with interpreting strategies of press conference,which the author hopes could help interpreters deal with interpreting difficulties.
