This is an interpreting practice report, which is based on the author's consecutive interpreting experience on China Hebei-Southern Africa Capacity Cooperative Negotiation. This negotiation is part of the China Hebei-Southern Africa Conference of Talent Project and Capacity Cooperation. In order to enhance talent communication and capacity cooperation between Hebei province and African countries, the author was entrusted by Hebei Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs to be the interpreter to serve both Chinese and overseas companies. The report mainly includes four chapters. In the first chapter, the author describes the background information and features of this interpreting, introducing the content of this task and the realization of the interpreter's role. The interpreting process is recorded in the second chapter, including preparation before the task, interpreting description and summary after the task. The third chapter is case study, focusing on the Interpretive Theory and relevant methods applied in the interpreting, such as paraphrasing, omitting, and amplification. Some problems caused by the difficulty of understanding the accent or the lack of professional knowledge, and possible solutions are also discussed here. The practice lessons are concluded in the last chapter for the future's interpreting work.In author's opinion, the interpreter's role should be moderated according to different interpreting tasks.Adequate preparation before a task is essential, and flexibility should be increased during the interpreting. To achieve that,an interpreter should not only improve language ability in daily study and practice, but also learn interpreting skills and professional knowledge. An excellent psychological quality is also the basic need for a good interpreter.
