As records of cultural changes and civilized development, cultural relics include important cultural and historical values,is of great significance for cultural heritage and Historical research. However, cultural relics suffer a lot of wear and tear caused by natural factors and human factors. Therefore,it's necessary to strengthen cultural relic protection, reducing the loss of cultural relics in the exhibition process.Digital heritage technology can not only preserve the cultural relics in digital form forever, but also can be widely displayed in digital form,so that more people can have access to the culture represented by the cultural relics.Digital heritage technology is of great significance for cultural transmission and cultural relic protection.Photometric Stereo can obtain the 3D information of cultural relics in the case of non-contact,also obtain the 3D models and surface light reflection information. The obtained 3D models have the advantages of high precision, complete preservation of texture details. However,Traditional photometric stereo technology has the shortcomings of small scope of application materials, more stringent requirements for the acquisition conditions, can only be used in the ideal experimental environment to get ideal results, and cannot be widely used in practice. To solve the existing problems in engineering application, this paper proposes a fast photometric stereo technique based on the unknown illumination condition and general isotropic reflection model. The main work of this paper is:Proposes a photometric stereo technique based on the unkno-wn illumination condition rather than known directional lightings, which solves the problem that the lighting condition measurement is difficult to realize in engineering application.Proposes a photometric stereo technique based on general isotropic reflection model instead of ideal diffuse reflection. It's can be widely used for different material. The above techniques are applied to reconstruct small cultural relics, and a high-precision three-dimensional model of small cultural relics can be reconstructed.
