In general,adverbs of modern Chinese always used in an incorrect way by foreign students,especially for “changchang” and “wangwang”,a pair of common words in our daily life.In some contexts,these two words can replace each other without affecting the sentence expression;and more often they can not be replaced or replaced after the sentence has undergone great changes.As the frequency of these two words,foreign students have to know how to use them correctly.It has become a focus with difficulties in TCFL(Teaching of Chinese as a Foreign Language)because of the similarity of “changchang” and “wangwang ”in using.This thesis consists of four parts.First part is the introduction.It introduces the research background,content,summarize research of ontology of “Changchang”?“Wangwang”,data sources and research methods,as well as the purpose and significance of this study.In the second part,it analyses the error types of “changchang” and “wangwang” and make a conclusion that there are three types of biased errors of “changchang” and “wangwang” made by foreign students,namely mis-order,mis-adding,and misuse from the perspectives of grammar and pragmatic.In the third part,it analyses the reason of these errors form itself?teachers?students and text books.The last part gives some suggestions about how to avoid these errors.
