There are many difficulties for Indonesian students to learning Chinese language,modern Chinese adverbs are also a major difficulty for Indonesian students.A commonly used set of synonym "changchang" and "wangwang",means that situation or action often appear or occur,but the emphasis and conditions of using these words are different,hence Indonesian students are often confused in using this set of synonym."Changchang" and "wangwang" can be switched in some contexts without change the original meaning,but in general,"changchang"and "wangwang" cannot substitute each other.This thesis is based on a survey of one hundred Indonesian students that are studying and using the Chinese adverbs "changchang" and "wangwang".The Chinese proficiency of these Indonesian student is divided into beginner Chinese language level,intermediate Chinese language level and advanced Chinese language level,using HSK level as the standard.This thesis is start from the analysis of the specific errors of Indonesian student when using the Chinese adverbs "changchang" and "wangwang",then classify the errors and analyze the cause of errors.This thesis also trying to sum up the pattern of the errors,finding an effective teaching strategies so that Indonesian student can have a better understanding about the difference between using the Chinese adverbs "changchang" and "wangwang",reduce the errors of using these adverbs.Hope that this thesis can provide some help for the Chinese adverbs"changchang" and "wangwang" in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,can promote it more effectively.The first part is the introduction.This part explains the research background and content.the innovation of this thesis,research methods and the current research situation of the Chinese adverbs "changchang" and "wangwang".The second part compares and analyzes the using characteristics of the Chinese adverbs"changchang" and "wangwang" in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,focusing on "these aspects:tense,sentence type.position in sentence,and the collocation with other words(including monosyllable verbs,multi-syllable verbs,auxiliary verbs,negative words and adverbs such as "also,still,all,only").The third part explains the survey purpose,survey target,survey method and survey procedure,then designs the questionnaire.This part explains the results of the survey,summarizes the types of error used by Indonesian students when using "changchang" and"wangwang".The fourth part analyzes the causes of the errors based on the results of the survey.The fifth part puts forward the suggestions for optimizing the teaching based on the results of the survey.The last part summarizes the correct and error usage of the Chinese adverbs "changchang"and "wangwang" by Indonesian students,then points out the inadequacies of this research.
