| Based on the modern Chinese new words as the research target,and the cognitive model theory in cognitive linguistics as the theoretical basis,we try to use the theory to study the formation of new words,hoping to apply the analysis results to teaching Chinese as a foreign language.We analyzed the formation of new words in modern Chinese.Then based on the 911 new words for a closed corpus in 2010 and 2010,we used the combination of quantitative and qualitative method to outline the characteristics of new words formation types,That’s to say Modifier centre form is still the main way of word-formation.But compared with the traditional word-formation,the number of the svo word formation rises greatly,and the number of joint word-formation fell.After that,this article embarks from the cognitive model theory,making an explanation to the compound words about root-making types that Associate form,Modifier centre form,Above fill form,Above guest form,and Subject-predicate form are included.These types of word-formation methods above both have the similarities in the ideal cognitive model and their own characteristics.Finally,this paper tries to apply in teaching Chinese as a foreign language cognition model theory to carry on the new words in vocabulary teaching,it has obtained a good effect on the experimental objects,and on this basis,it put forward corresponding suggestions for teaching new words. |
