A Report On Translation Of The Dishonesty In The Stock Repurchase Of Listed Companies And Its Prevention

Academic exchanges between China and other countries have been increasing.As a result,more and more Chinese papers on finance need to be translated into English.Obviously,it is quite necessary and very significant to conduct research into translation of academic Chinese papers on finance into English.This academic report,which is based on the translation of The Dishonesty in the Stock Repurchase of Listed Companies and Its Prevention,first describes the linguistic features of the text and its translation process.Then,guided by Functional Equivalence and Skopos Theory,the report illustrates and proves the feasibility and effectiveness of application of common techniques to the translation of words,sentences,sections and the text.Meanwhile,the author summarizes five norms which are proved applicable to the translation of the full text.The author emphasizes that we can translate academic papers more efficiently by referring to relevant parallel texts.The report is intended to draw more foreign investors to further understand China's financial industry and regulatory status and participate in financial activities;in addition,it is aimed to provide useful reference for translators of academic papers on finance and to help them do translation better.
