This report concerns the C hinese-English simulated consecutive interpreting for keynote speeches delivered by President Xi Jinping and Premire Li Keqiang of the People's Republic of C hina at the opening ceremony of Boao Forum for Asia annual conference in 2014,2014,and 2016.Based on the interpretation for these speeches,the report discusses some specific cases by using five strategies under the guidance of the interpretive theory.The report aims at exploring some feasible processing strategies for Chinese-English consecutive interpreting on conference and leaders' speeches,thus proving that the interpretive theory is feasible in guiding interpretation and providing guidance for the learning and practice of interpreting in relevant fields.This report consists of five parts: introduction,interpreting preparation of the project,analysis of specific interpreting cases,assessment and conclusion.In chapter one,the author generally introduces the basis and significance for subject choice,project and interpretation process.In chapter two,the author introduces background information collection,analysis of the speakers' speech styles,guiding theory of the interpretive theory and its five interpreting strategies.In chapter three,the author deals with those specific cases with the five strategies under the guiding theory.At last,the report draws project assessment and comes to following conclusion: 1,full preparation plays an important role in speech interpreting.2,the interpretive theory is feasible in guiding interpreting process and the five strategies are effective in coping with some specific cases in the interpreting process.
