With the continuous improvement of China's national power,the international status of Chinese influence in the world continues to expand.More and more foreign students are sent to China for further study in the international background of "learning Chinese".With the increasing number of international students,the curriculum and training programs of Chinese college students are also improving,and the teaching of Chinese culture is more and more important and necessary.Chinese calligraphy is a cultural treasure of China,and calligraphy teaching should not be limited to Chinese people,but should be promoted among foreign learners.From March 2016 to July,The author taught calligraphy at Guangxi University International Education College.In the teaching process,the author found that teaching calligraphy for foreign students was a special teaching,and how to improve the quality of calligraphy teaching is worthy of our discussion.On the basis of practical calligraphy teaching experience,the author analyzed the current situation and problems of teaching Chinese as a foreign language in Guangxi University through the access to literature,the issuance of questionnaires,classroom observation,personal interviews and other ways with both qualitative and quantitative research,from the students interest and motivation of learning calligraphy,satisfaction with the calligraphy class,the expectations of teachers and other aspects of behavior.Then,it puts forward some pertinent suggestions for the teaching of calligraphy in Chinese as a foreign language so as to improve the quality of calligraphy teaching and spread Chinese calligraphy culture.
