Practice Study Report On E-C Translation Of Title ?? Of America's Social Security Act Amendment In 2009

In 1935,the United States enacted Social Security Act,which marked the social security system has been basically established in America.In the following 70 years,this act has been revised for many times and it has made a positive effect on America's economy and society.As the biggest economic entity as well as the most developed market economy country in the world,the social and economic system of America has a strong influence on the international community.In China,although the social security system has been basically formed,it needs to be advised.Therefore,the research on America's social security system and the translation of America's written law into Chinese have become a question that is worth pursuing further.This paper is a translation practice report.Based on the legal translation of Title ?? of America's Social Security Act Amendment in 2009,this report specifically elaborates the accomplishment of translation practice,analyzes and discusses the translation methods and skills with practical cases and finally sums up the translation practice and concludes personal experience and shortness.This report is divided into four parts:the first part is the project description of The Title ?? of America's Social Security Act Amendment in 2009,including the background information of the amendment as well as the translation purpose and meanings.The second part studies the translation process of the amendment,including the preparation,phases and post-translation correction.The third part studies translation action,including the introduction of "faithfulness",which was used in the translation,as well as the summary of the strategies and methods used in the legal translation.The forth part is the key point of the report-the case study.In this part,I concretely list the analysis and methods used in the legal translation of amendment on words,sentences and structures.
