Punctuation is one of the most important parts of written language, and it is an indispensable auxiliary tool in written expression. Punctuation is one of the main problems encountered by Chinese students studying Chinese in Thailand.Study on the teaching of the Chinese language education in China punctuation in although some attention has not been paid enough attention in the field of foreign language teaching, which leads to foreign students will produce all kinds of errors in the process of learning chinese. Especially in the study of Chinese writing process,their classification of Chinese punctuation and various punctuation standard usage understanding is not very comprehensive, and teachers in the teaching process of punctuation in this part of the neglect and lack of teaching materials of this knowledge are introduced, making them in Chinese writing have a lot of Chinese punctuation errors.This paper takes Tianjin Normal University primary Chinese level of foreign students in Thailand, the senior level of Chinese students in Thailand as the research object, by English speaking students in Kenya and Chinese native speakers as the control group, a questionnaire using punctuation marks in foreign language teaching in the practice test, summarized the types of errors they use Chinese punctuation symbols,using statistical method to calculate the correct rate, error rate, analysis the causes of these errors.Through the investigation, it is found that there are errors in the use of Chinese punctuation marks by Thailand students in the early and advanced Chinese level. The use of Chinese punctuation marks in primary Chinese students is relatively simple, and the error rate of comma and period is high. The level of advanced Chinese language students in Thailand, the use of Chinese punctuation more types, comma and quotation marks of the high error rate, the main error is wrong. The higher the level of Chinese language, the smaller the error rate of Chinese punctuation marks; the errors of punctuation errors and the types of errors are also related to the country and mother tongue. In addition, the annotation of Chinese punctuation in the textbook and the explanation of Chinese punctuation will affect the study and use of Chinese punctuation marks. Finally, according to the research results, combined with the actual situation of punctuation in Chinese teaching, this paper puts forward the basic strategies of Chinese punctuation in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. For example: the teachers should teach students in accordance with their aptitude,textbooks and handouts to appropriate levels of detail, to make reasonable use of teaching methods etc..It is hoped that this paper can help Chinese students in Thailand to better use Chinese punctuation marks.
