A Report On The Translation Of The Implementation Plan Of UAE Royal-Hunting Resort Project(Excerpt)

This report is a case study of the E-C translation of Implementation Plan of UAE Royal Hunting Resort Project(excerpt).Taking this practice as an example,the author introduces the process of the translation task,and analyzes the difficulties and problems of engineering translation.The report includes task description,translation process,introduction of Skopos Theory,case analysis and the conclusion.Firstly,the author introduces the translation task and the significance of choosing this kind of material,then describes the translation process that involves searching related background information before translation,details during the translation process and proofreading.Next follows the introduction of the three rules of the Skopos Theory.Combining the skopos rule,coherence rule and fidelity rule,the author resorts to providing the translation methods and strategies to solve the problems of words and sentences with the rigorous and technical features of implementation plan.The last part is the conclusion of the report.The author makes the summary in the hope that she can do a better job when dealing with the same type of texts in the future.
