A Study On Promoting Cultural Soft Power Of The Social Transition Period

In nowadays relatively peaceful international environment,absolute “hard power”can not satisfy the need of nations to seek for higher international position.In the article The Clash of Civilization ? by Samuel·Huntington he argues that culture becomes more and more important in the conflicts of nations From the worldwide,many countries has paid increasing attention on their cultural soft power.Our country and local government have already put cultural soft power on the agenda considering the the reality of our country and the importance of cultural soft power.It is obvious that cultural soft power is important to promote our country's development and nation image.To achieve the the goal which is“strength our country by culture”,it is essential to build cultural soft power and expand ways to promote cultural soft power while our county has been in social transition period.In this thesis,we make a distinction between the soft power and hard power connotation and focus on expounding the feature and connotation of the soft power and Chinese cultural soft power.Cultural soft power is the arena of various countries' competition and a vital part of the comprehensive national strength,and also an essential way to increase our country's strength.Therefore,at this stage,it is meaningful and significant to promote China's cultural soft power.Due to the demand of economic development and the requirement of building socialist harmonious society,promoting China's cultural soft power is necessary for our country's development.During the Communist Party of China Sixth Plenary Session of the seventh,the government present one basic strategy which is“strength the country by culture”.Promoting cultural soft power is an inevitable way to achieve this goal and a symbolization of this strategy's completion.It is also necessary for national security and our image to promote cultural soft power from the.diplomacy perceptive.We have some achievements in promoting cultural soft power.However,there are still some shortcomings.For example,the cultural industries still need to be developed and flourished and also we need utilize the traditional culture resource at maximum level.It is also important to perfect and make innovations in the reform of cultural system and mechanism.To promote China's cultural soft power,we need to provide the solid material foundation and basic infrastructure and also improve the socialistmarket economy system to provide a necessary economic security.Because of the special national conditions in China,building cultural soft power must be guided by the Marxism?Mao Zedong Thought and Socialism with Chinese Characteristics Theoretical System.We also need to inherit and innovate the traditional culture resource,reference and integrate worthy foreign culture under the our socialist core values guidance.What's more,on one hand,we need to develop the cultural industries and cultural economic in depth,on the other hand,we also need to strength the talent team.
