Analysis On Strategies For Conference Interpreting From The Perspective Of Interpretive Theory

In this globalised world,as the inter-dependence among countries is increasing,there is more cross-cultural and cross-lingual communication.In recent years,speeches made by Chinese leaders in many important international meetings have drawn a lot of attention whereas c onference interpreting still remains a big challenge for interpreters.Therefo re,there is an ur gent need of analyzing and summarizinginterpretingstrategies for conference interpreting.As the first systematic interpretation theory in the world,the Inte rpretive Theory is of an important theoretical basis for interpreter training and practice.Interpretive Theory is a very important theoretical foundation for interpreting practice and researches.This paper has m ade case analysis on m aterials of Chinese prim er Li Keqiang's press conference during NPC sessions in 2017 from the perspective of the Interpretive Theory.Based on sys tematic interpretation over and a review of overall development path of the Interp retive Theory,this paper is aimed at studying the applicability of translation strategies in conference interpreting so asto help interpreters when they are doing conference consecutive interpreting and promote the development of interpreting practice.
