Translation Report On Third Amendment Of Lease And Partial Surrender Agreement: Word Class Conversion In English-Chinese Translation For The Lease Contract

Word class conversion,as a translation technique,is frequently employed in translating legal text since it satisfies a need for rigorous,accurate,and professional translation.Therefore,in the translation of legal documents,properly dealing with word class conversion is the key to the quality of the target text.In this translation report,when translating the text on Third Amendment of Lease and Partial Surrender Agreement,the author finds if the text is to be translated word for word in accordance with the original word class,the translation text would be not easy to read and understand.So,the author tries to convert the original word class in order to create a smooth and naturally translated text and conform to Chinese expression.The report mainly investigates the following conversion techniques: from noun to verb,verb to noun,adjective to verb and prepositions to verb,analyzes conversion reasons and sums up its principles and techniques in order to provide some references and advice for future translation practice.
