In recent years,with the proposal of the One Belt and One Road Initiative,China has been playing a more and more important role in the international economic arena.Obviously,enterprise promotional materials serve as the first hand information for foreign enterprises to have an insight into Chinese companies.At present,research on the translation strategies of Chinese enterprise promotional materials reflects diversified features,but reports on C-E translation of up-to-date enterprise promotional materials are scarce(only ten reports found in CNKI),obsolete,conceptual and theoretical.In addition,after personal internship translation of ten passages' enterprise promotional materials regarding various fields such as electronics,machine tool and lighting,further problems were discovered and categorized as follows: content emptiness,syntactic monotony and disorder,cultural barriers of specific Chinese expressions and idioms.In light of this,with the help of text analysis method and under the guidance of the German Skopos theory,this report attempts to make full use of the translation strategy of domestication and the translation techniques of combination,reconstructing,rewriting and reduction to assist with C-E translation of enterprise promotional materials so as to promote transnational business communication and cooperation.
