The Investigation Of The Current Situation Of Teaching Chinese As A Second Language In Ukraine

The main goal of the article is to analyze the current situation of Chinese teaching in Ukraine and on the basis of this analysis discover its features and problems.The research is focused on such three aspects: curriculum setting,teachers and textbooks.At the same time we also research the process of teaching Chinese from the student's point of view,analyze student's motivation,learning methods;combine with the research of teachers,and as result make a conclusion about the features of teaching Chinese in Ukraine.The methods of research are: literature analysis,interview method,questionnaire method,method of induction,method of classroom observation.The article is divided into three parts.The first part sums up the previous researches on the topic of the analysis of the current situation of Chinese teaching,and the works about Chinese teaching in Ukraine;and also state the goal,the significance,the object and the methods of research.The second part analyses the current situation of teaching Chinese in Ukraine.The main three types of teaching Chinese are analyzed: basic education,universities and private language schools.Firstly we describe the features of each type of schools,and then on the basis of the one school from the each category conduct the more concrete research of Chinese teaching.Through the analysis of the three schools(Kiev Eastern languages gymnasium Number One;Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv;ChinaHill school)and further research in the third part we indicate the problems of the teaching Chinese in Ukraine.In the fourth part we point out the recommendations for improving the quality of teaching Chinese in Ukraine.
