Liaison Interpreting Practice Report For The 4^th Silk Road Economic Belt Cities Cooperation And Development Forum ?SRCF?

Urumqi,one of the cities along the Silk Road,extends sincere invitations to all cities along the same road,aiming to press ahead efforts to accelerate economic development as a core sector.The 4th SRCF(Silk Road Economic Belt Cites Cooperation and Development Forum)will be marked as a milestone to this region.The thesis is presented in the format of practice report based on experience of liaison interpretation and theory of translation variation.In the light of the related theory,the author makes a detailed analysis on its preparation,interpreting techniques and the problems met in the activity.This report consists of five parts.The first part states a brief introduction of the interpreting tasks and its background information.The second part describes the author's preparation for the interpreting in detail,including background,glossaries,familiarity with the foreign accent as well as etiquette and problems' forecast.The third part initially comes up with the research on the translation variation from Huang Zhonglian in light of the liaison interpreting characteristics,aiming to analyze the practical translation variation strategies that can be applied to interpreting for liaison interpreting.For such kind of work needs to be highly required and efficient,the interpreter has to elastically alternate the methods to interpret in complex and volatile places.The fourth part elaborates how Translation Variation applied in this interpreting task.The last part,the author reflects seriously about liaison interpreting,evaluates the weak points.Meanwhile,the author gets a new understanding of study in future.Both in fourth part and fifth part,the author makes an analysis of many concrete examples during the interpreting.Translation Variation Theory emphasizes the variation of the source text for readers in translation,which meets the need of interpreting.This practice conducted by the author applies the variation methods to solve the complex problems and manifest the guidance of the theory in interpreting practice.
