The unbalanced development in both theory and practice of the translation of children's literature has brought about many problems. Therefore,we need to further analyze the theories and the strategies used in the translation process of children's literature.Based on Skopos Theory, this thesis analyzes the application of Domestication Strategy in Ren Rongrong's translation of Charlotte's Web at the levels of vocabulary, sentences, and rhetoric.Domestication Strategy is widely used by Mr.Ren on the three levels. It is worth noting that Ren's translation is a success and is suitable as a source of reference for other translators. This thesis explores the application of Domestication Strategy in Ren Rongrong's translation of Charlotte's Web from the perspective.of Skopos Theory.Three questions are mainly explored in this thesis:1)Is Domestication Strategy an effective option for the translation of children's literature?2)Can Skopos Theory be used as a guide for the translation of children's literature?3)In what ways can Ren's translation give reference to other translators? Finally, this thesis points out that the translation of children's literature is different from that of adults' literature because children's understanding ability is limited and they lack cultural background knowledge. Therefore,it is necessary to make use of some translation strategies appropriately, such as Domestication Strategy,so as to improve the quality of the translation of children's literature.
