A Study On Truman Adn Eisenhower Administration's Psychological Warfare In The Middle East

This thesis aims to explore a series of psychological warfare in the Middle East countries during Truman and Eisenhower period.The thesis consists four parts which divided in introduction,text,conclusion and reference and the text is made up of 4 parts.The first part analyzes the overall situation of the Middle East in the early postwar period and the importance of the Middle East geopolitics.Recognizing that due to the complexity of the Middle East geographical position,religion and politics,the United States will inevitably choose special foreign polices.Therefore the psychological warfare has become an important means to safeguard the national interests of the United States in the Middle East,in order to increase the centripetal force of the Middle East people of the United States,prevent the Soviet Union permeation into Middle East.The second part,based on the special international situation of the Truman administration,according to the big strategy of the national is eager to bring the Middle East into the free world.According to a series of policy documents of the National Security Council and the psychological strategy board,The United States Made the psychological warfare programs for every country in the Middle East.American Government developed the operations of the psychological warfare.The third part,Pointed out that after the succession of President Eisenhower,the psychological warfare in the Middle East prefer to carry out covert operations.This part Explore the process and reasons for the adjustment of the psychological strategy board to the operations coordination board.The part also listed the typical and significant psychological warfare in the Middle East in Eisenhower period.According to the effect of psychological warfare,summarizes different priorities of psychological warfare in Eisenhower period.The fourth part Comparing different period United States psychological warfare to the Middle East countries,discussing the extent and achieved purpose of Truman and Eisenhower government,analysis implement psychological warfare effect and far-reaching impact on the Middle East.
