Sentence Sequence Rearranement In English-Chinese Translation And Logical Restructuring

In the process of translation,logical restructuring plays a key role in the final version of translation.This thesis discusses the importance of logical restructuring in English-Chinese translation from the perspective of sentence sequence rearrangement through comparing the differences between the original translation and the revised one based on the case study of the translation of UN Chronicles.The author believes that a coarse translation is caused by source text misunderstanding,source language interference,discourse awareness missing,insufficient target language ability and text style overlooking.In conclusion,these problems are due to fail in logical restructuring.Logical restructuring in the process of translation can be divided into three steps of ?input?,?restructuring? and ?output? and all the reasons mentioned above may happen in any step.To avoid these problems,translators need to improve themselves by studying the logical differences between Chinese and English,analyzing the source text before translating and doing more practices.
